Kid's Corner: Loving our bodies

Welcome to the Kids' Corner where the gang at Still I Rise Storytelling will be hosting two online storytelling sessions.

It Isn’t Rude to be Nude is a remarkable new picture book from artist and illustrator Rosie Haine. Published by the TATE, powerful inky illustrations bring the message of body positivity for kids (and their grown-ups) alive.

A celebration of bodies of all different shapes, sizes and colours. All bodies are brilliant bodies, no matter what they look like. They will change as you get older, some things will change quicker than others, some might not change at all. Everyone has a bum. Nipples are normal. It isn't rude to be nude!

It isn’t Rude to be Nude was selected as dPICTUS Outstanding Picture Book of Autumn 2020 and a Guardian/Observer Best Children's book of the year 2020. Rosie, the author, describes the book as "a manual to inspire self-confidence and body positivity for children everywhere. It’s a celebration of being naked and the things that happen to bodies. After all, everyone has a bum!"

Join us for some live storytelling from Still I Rise, all ages (even grown-ups!) welcome.
