INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY RALLY, BELFAST

“Rights in Sight” is the theme for International Women’s Day 2020, as we highlight the reality for those whose rights are not realised. We are still governed under the Sex Discrimination Order (NI) 1976, Race Relations Act 1976, Disability Discrimination Act 1995 yet the rest of the UK are working under the Equality Act 2010 which is more in line with current society. We have new legislation for abortion access and Equal Marriage but we know laws aren't enough to guarantee equality. We have no Childcare Strategy, no Gender Equality Strategy where do we demand these when we have no functioning Government that is fit for purpose? We are in no doubt that if we want change, we must make it happen, we are fighting, campaigning and lobbying and no longer will we wait and watch our Rights in Sight –

We will have our demands met now and for ALL. Join us to make our demands heard, our Rally is Saturday 7th March – 11am from Writers Square to City Hall
