Ending violence against women and girls: Learning from Europe

Violence against women and girls is an urgent priority across the world. In Northern Ireland, the first Ending Violence against Women and Girls strategy focuses on changing cultural norms, as well as protecting women and girls more effectively. The EU earlier this year launched a new Directive on violence against women and girls, which sets minimum standards for all 27 EU member states. This webinar will hear from the WAVE Network on how the Directive can change policy, and from Women’s Aid Federation NI on what the priorities for the new strategy are. There will also be discussion on what we can learn from the processes that led to these new frameworks.

Join us to share perspectives on what we can learn from each other, and how to prioritise ending violence against women and girls
