Reclaim the Agenda connects and mobilises women to promote feminist activism through
education, campaigning and celebration
We launched our programme on November 25 at the MAC with a discussion on ending violence against all women and girls, including the particular experiences of disabled, LGBTQ+ and migrant women. The event concluded with a screening of the short film Removed, which highlights how immigration detention can deepen trauma — including abuse and gender-based violence. Afterward, we joined the Where’s Our Safe Leave rally at Stormont, organised by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU).
We also have a programme of events and our Reclaim the Night march and rally taking place on 29 November. This year there will be sister marches in Derry/Londonderry and Newry.

International Women’s DAY? We’d a whole month!
As well as our march and rally on the 8th March, International Women’s Day, Reclaim the Agenda coordinated a programme of events running for the whole month of March. With a wide range of events from songwriting and poetry to workshops and talks and even a football tournament we had a diverse and packed programme. While many of the events were organised by our friends in organisations like Women’s Platform, the Equality Commission and Women of Colour Belfast, RTA directly organised or contributed to many events across March.

To have healthcare services that meet our particular needs
A life free from domestic and sexual violence and abuse
To live in a world where women are equally represented as decision makers
To have access to good, affordable and flexible childcare
